Sorta - I attached the camera to the tripod and then sort of wedged it between the seat and a pillar to keep it from moving. I used an off camera flash to light up the interior as well, and I think that's what really kept the inside sharper.

Here's an old set I took during one sunset in DC. I got super lucky with great light and clouds that night. Last exposure was 10 minutes long! Cloud blur!

They were all taken at the far end of the reflecting pool with the 70-200 f/2.8 (v1) and the last three were all 135mm and roughly 2, 6 and 10 minute exposures.

All those little lights are actually from misguided tourists using auto flash on their cameras and not cellphones.

First one is at Opal Creek (near Salem, OR), second is on the OR coast, I think near Cape Perpetua. I went there to get pics of Thor's Well, but the seas were angry and I didn't want to die that day so I just got some pussy shots from far away.

no. didn't even see that. The camera "sagged" on the tripod and the bottle was tilted so i was fixing the tilt. fucking hell didn't even see the off centre \:D

looks like the bottle is facing just camera left for some reason. nice highlights, but reflections are distracting, as well as the green on the right. also wished the hint of spotlight on the "Champagne" reached a little further down into the middle of the label. more detail into the bottom of the bottle.

*this critique comes after listening to still life editors/art directors on set for hours on end

agreed; and all outside of the green and the champagne are bones i picked after i saw it the day after. I was actually more focused on getting the light on moet and the red emblem the way i want it rather than the word champagne; although i suppose that would be a good thing to highlight as well.

guess using some tracing paper / diffusion panel on the v-flat is unavoidable. (stripbox is out of the question w/o doing this in a studio; i don't have that shit sitting around in the house )
