Despite the bad weather and lack of grip from the track I managed a best of 13.2/110. When we get some good weather I should get in the 12's. Best 60' was 2.295 secs. Cars now fitted with Quaffe LSD and Exedy organic clutch (cheap), Toyo R888's on 18 inch rims. Cars still spins wildly. managed 6 runs all low/mid 13's gave up when it snowed. I was running with a full tank of gas, how much would that slow me down?

put some slicks on that thing already!!! hmm the full tank of gas...maybe a tenth or so?? depends on power output mostly. if you have less power, it will make more of a difference. high power isnt as noticeable. however, in theory......having more weight in the rear of the car will be taking grip away from the front tires.
i promise you if you put slicks on the car.....you will NEVER want to go to the track on street tires again. i can't explain how fun 1.6 60 foot times are

sounds like i know about as much as you do on that subject. i hear their new street tire is suposed to be awesome, however i have never had any experiances with them. all the guys around here are running BFG radials. i borrowed my freinds to try them out..and still spun them on a 3rd gear roll. nothing will add up to slicks!

It works great on the road but I think a charge cooler will work better on the track. The day was really cold which IS good for power but the track was shitte. I have an mpeg of a couple of runs if you know how I can post them it would be a bit of fun.

really cold track conditions will kill traction as the track its self will be cold....i can't really drive my coupe around in the winter because it will do a burnout in 4th gear from a roll. its pretty scary. towards the end of the season there is a pretty big temp. change here where i live....and you can tell a difference in traction between the middle of the day when its warm vs. the end of the night where you have to put on a jacket.
give it some time and some practice. what kind of tire pressure are you running? i dont remember what time times/60's were before....but im pretty sure that there was a big improvement this time out???

Turbo, my 60's are a 10th or so quicker than last time, I was running 19 psi tyre pressure front and 40 rear. I'm checking out what street drag tires are available over here but I will possibly need to ship some in.
