I always wanted an electric oil pressure gauge for my car since I think that all cars should have them, but I didn't want something that stuck out like those round ones, even if they were mounted in pods. Well, looking through an aircraft catalog once, I came across these and decided to try one out http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/in/jpinstruments_slim.html . They look crappy there becaue they used a drawing of it. I decided to install mine below the headunit, where that tray is located. Since I never store anything in there, I mounted it flush against the back and there's room for one more next to it. It's super easy to see, automaticaly adjusts itself to day/night brightness levels (uses an electric-eye), and will warn me when the pressure falls out of a pre-calibrated range that you tell them. I have mine set to warn below 10psi and above 100. Well, here's how it came out.

Sorry about the poor quality, the low level light makes the shutter stay open longer and everything kinda blurs, but you get the idea. Just thought I'd share in case someones in the same boat.

If you remember, I said the shutter stays open a long time in low light, so you're seeing multiple numbers in that exposure. As for the price, I don't know when they went up so high. I payed close to 150 for it but got it from the actual place. There probably higher because they have to meet certain tests since they're ment for aircraft.
