I have a '93 Del Sol with a GSR as a daily driver, and enjoy going to the local drag track on the weekends. The problem is the wheel hop. Would a traction bar cause problems for everyday driving use, handling, ride height, etc.....

If you do get traction bars the only problem that I can think of is they freakin squeak at the joints.

I bought the full-race bars when they first came out. No problems here as a daily driver. And like others said you might lose the hop but your going to have wheel spin. Also a goog set of adjustable shooks and bushing insert replacement will help too. Motor mount inserts help alittle, but with the stock Si front left top mount has most of the support and sees alot of movement so a replacement mount from hasport a better choice i think. And like us boosted guys once you solve one problem another one appears(wheel spin).

Possibly snap an axle if you have a lot of power too.

ok guys -- there are some serious misconceptions in this thread about what a traction bar does.
I own Full Race, and I am a mechanical engineer. I designed the first traction bars for hondas, and I have a tremendous amount of suspension experience with these cars.
The purpose of an aftermarket traction bar is such that it keeps the lower control from moving (deflecting) to the front of the car. Under hard acceleration, the wheel pulls the car forwards. Becuase you are using a lower control arm that has soft bushings, the bushing is compressed and the wheel is allowed to move forwards *without* the car. To clear this up:
Wheel hop is caused when the wheel moves forwards, without the car.
The control arms flex (distort) the bushings and cuase the alignment to go all over the place. The car Toes out, and caster goes to hell.
When using a radius rod setup like ours, the advantage of the metal heim joints is such that the wheel can only move as far forwards as the flex of the crossmember allows it to. Our design is engineered to be sufficiently strong so the wheel can only move forwards about 6 thousandths of an inch.
Motor mounts are extremely important, as are high quality bushings (That arent torn of course). However, neither of these will keep your suspension from deflecting.
Wheelspin is a GOOD thing. If you have no wheel hop/tire shake and all you have is wheel spin, this is a good thing. All that it means is that if you need more traction, youre tires arent sticky enough.
Also, besides the obvious straight line advantages that a traction bar has, the cornering and roadcourse/auto-x advantages are huge. The car feels like its on rails. It truly is a night and day difference.
Also, if you ue a traction bar, you are less likely to snap an axle
