Im kinda nervous about hacking up my new 00 si(new to me) bumper ... Is it a pretty straight forward cut as far as mounting them ? Ive heard if you look from the backside it shows you where to make the cut out ? Thanks

dont fret, its really hard to mess up.
its very simple, just follow the directions and use the proper tools.

even with the wrong bit size(it was smaller), i made it work by just shaving a little more in the appropriate areas.

Yes there are marks on the back of the bumper to show you where to cut. Just take your time and you will be fine. I did mine a couple of months ago.

When I did mine I dremeled out the major portion then went back and cut away the rest with a razor blade till the bezels fit perfect. It can be somewhat nerve racking doing it but the final product is . Good Luck!

LOL well when I was doing it my dad made a lot of drill holes so you can punch it out but it looked ugly and the 2nd one which I did I made the holes but then just used a good razor blade and they came out better than the first. But then again it's not gonna matter once you have the housings over it just don't cut out to wide, LOL my dad almost did and I'd have a like nice hole in my bumper.

i used a razor blade to cut my holes. they turned out perfect, but when i got in a little accident and the body shop put them back on, they cut out the black vents too but as i was saying, a razor blade works fine.
