Here is my crappy picture, the Moon was out at 5pm on Monday. I learned a good lesson that day. Make sure the lens is spotless before shooting at a blue sky. I've got LR3, this will just give me the reason to learn how to do spot removal with it.
It isn't your lens. It's sensor dust.

Yeah, agreed. I'm confused because I looked at the EXIF data on flickr and it lists it at an f/1.0, but usually you don't see the dust at large aperture...it's when you tighten it down that the dust sharpens up and becomes visible on the lens. I'm wondering if you were using some sort of lens adapter and that the reading was not true.

Mine's all sorts of dusty...it's nothing unusual. when you can expose the camera innards during lens swaps.

Thanks dudes. A little bird told me the car drives really well, feels like an S2000. The bird said it has good pick up, is a bit underpowered YES, but feels really fun anyhow. It's more of a momentum car, with nicely balanced handling to make up for a lack of outright power, according to the bird. The bird was able to get it sideways with no problem, and it snapped back pretty well once you lift off. The more the bird thought about it, the more he realized how similar it really is to the S2000, not quite as twitchy though. It's just too bad that I didn't get to drive it myself... Nate
I'd love to have an FR-S, looks like a fun car to drive and anything is fast when going from what I drive now. I am curious if this will trigger Nissan to come back with something like a 250SX, 200hp QR25de in a rear wheel drive platform similar to the old 240SX should be fun. Especially with the torque of the QR25de.
I got a new lens. I got lucky and found a vendor in Brooklyn who had the SEL50F18 in stock. It is the new Sony E-Mount 50mm F1.8 with Optical Steady Shot. Sony has been having massive trouble keeping product in stock and shipping out product since the floods in Asia a few months back. The Sony plant in Thailand had ten feet of water in it.
All I have right now are indoor pictures of my cat. The weather has been terrible the last few days since I got it.

Another little bird told me that there may be a "S16" in the works. Nice shot BTW!

I discovered the Raynox DCR-250 and Neewer Macro Ring LED Light. I went out to the garage and shot a couple pictures of Mosquito Hawks. Mosquito Hawks seem to be EVERYWHERE right now. I guess that they benefited the most from the recent rainfall.
This is with my NEX-3 and E-mount 55-210mm lens + the above accessories.

That seems like a pretty involved process but is the only way to get a good depth of field.
No it is not.
