That's really sharp. Also reminds me of the sunflower farms/fields in East Texas. IIRC, they grow them for the sunflower oil.

i call this "the evolution"

one thing that I have noticed as a photographer is that in the beginning, alot of us sometimes spray and pray until we get to a point that we learn how to properly compose hoping for "that shot". after we we learn how to compose, we learn patience and begin to shoot less. even though we shoot less and learn to compose in pre while sometimes opting for post....we are still growing. right now, for me, the process of creation is becoming just as fulfilling as the completed product. being that I am doing product shoots for my magazine and as of today product testing, the urge to be firing on all cylinders is my passion. in this photo, I am working on the concept for a shoot that I will be doing this weekend for a product feature article in the jan/feb 2017 article of my magazine

Really cool capture of Los Angeles.

This neat looking guy is on my front porch right now, slowly climbing higher and higher up the brick. Reading around, when it hatches into a Moth, it will have a 5.5 inch wingspan...

a few needles in the foreground. Yeah, most of it is blurred, but i still like it. Most of it being blurred was intentional, but perhaps too much was.

Posting this one, I don't remember if I posted it before. It and the other three in the series are among my favorites that I have taken. Mostly because it was so much fun.

It was pure luck that I happened to have my Sony NEX-5R with 55-210 sitting in the passenger seat next to me. I turned onto the road and saw a young buck and the one in the picture running along the right side of the road. I slowed down and watched them for a few hundred feet when the buck suddenly darted across the road. I had just turned on the camera and had it ready as I waited for the second deer to cross the road. It was luck I had the camera in continous shooting and the settings were right. lol I did the spray and pray thing through the windshield as she hopped across the road. Probably a little lucky that the windshield was clean too. lol

yeah, I know. I didn't have any good shots without the lights in those spots to mask them out. Next time I'll have more time to plan this. This was an off the cuff shoot.

I'm actually thinking of picking up some cheap strip boxes from cowboystudio to give me those nice lines instead of circular reflection.
