Im not a motor builder but I would say yes. I will also tell you that if you change the springs change the valves. I run S2S2s and their springs and retainers. I have had 2 motors now break valve heads off. Being told its because of the spring preasure, lift and the two peace design of the stock valves. Skunk2s Doc confirmed this also. Just something to think about.
