After reading through this thread i decided to buy a PC. I got it a couple weeks ago and buffed my car this past weekend. The sides and trunk turned out great but im not satisfied with the roof and hood. I used poorboys SSR2.5, SSR1, EXP, and finished it off with Mothers Carnauba. I ordered Poorboys SSR3 to try on the roof and hood. I had a couple questions.
What speed are you using for each pad and product?
Poorboys SSR3 with yellow pad
Poorboys SSR2.5 with orange pad
Poorboys SSR1 with white pad
Poorboys EXP with gray pad
Mothers Carnauba with blue pad
And also do you put any prussure on the buffer and does it vary for what your doing. I've read different things. Some say let the buffer do all the work and read somewhere else to put about 25lbs on it. What do you guys think?

Regular washing machine and dryer. Make sure to use NO HEAT in both. I usually run cold/cold in the washer with a little detergent as possible, and then no heat in the dryer with NO FABRIC SOFTENER.
They so make special stuff to wash your MF towels. Its called Micro-restore, and it works great. Woolite also works great for cleaning. Just be sure not to wash them with anything else. They will pick up all the lint from the other items and ruin the towel.

I only ordered the PC (no kit, etc) as I found it over at Tools Plus for 99$ and 6$ shipping.
It depends on what package you purchased. Do you have a link to the one you bought? The kit I bought from Autopia had a 6" flexible backing pad. Usually the basic pad kit consists of a cutting pad, polishing pad and finishing pad. Tat's what you'd want to get polishing. Personally I've used both Sonus and Meg's softbuff pads on my PC. I like the Sonus pads alot more than the softbuff. Here's a link to pads, etc from Autopia. I've got a question for you guys... in all my years of detailing, I've never dealt with this problem before.
I got my wheels put on the car last week, and did a quick detailing today. I used the PC with Griots Machine Polish 3 on the flat surfaces, and 3M Hand Glaze everywhere else. Finished up with a coat of Blitz Wax.
One of my wheels was purchased used. The wheel looks like new, but after washing today, I noticed that it didn't have the clearcoat shine of the other wheels. The finish appears clean, but is rough, and dull. It's just a clearcoated OEM alloy wheel. I thought maybe the clearcoat had somehow been stripped by the previous owner, but I used an aggressive machine polish and did bring it back somewhat. There is a clearcoat, but it needs an aggressive polishing.
What would you guys recommend? My PC and 6 inch pads are cumbersome, and I don't think that any hand-applied product is going to get the job done. It's going to need an aggressive polish and probably some elbow grease to polish it up nicely... I have no idea what happened. The wheel looks flawless, but for some reason the clearcoat is rough and dull.

I have a question regarding the last two stages. It seems some people are using the Klasse sealant and paste wax in different order, for example, most detailing guides says Klasse goes last, but it looks like the detailers on here prefer a coating of P21S on top of the Klasses. I would like to know what is being achieved with both methods and how do you achieve it (like how you are using the products and what pads are you using). Thanks.
