So i'm trying to figure this out and beating my head, hoping someone might have a little help here. My girlfriend has a 98 ex with a d16y8 and a p2p ecu everything says sohc vtec as far as my research (engine ecu, etc.) however it has never engaged. i've have not taken anything apart but i know enough about vtec to know it's not working, wondering if anyone might know where to go with this, short of seeing if the silinoid is there. she bought it from a rental company and has owned it since. wondering if they disconnected something...
